  • When we conduct our sales and/or marketing activities or organize events

2. What Information Do We Collect?


The personal data we process may include the following:

  • role and needs related information
  • information needed for event organization and participation
  • information generated from demo and trial use
  • automatically collected information, such as information you submit using forms or information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics collected when you visit our website


Personal data we process is obtained directly from you and/or from publicly available sources such as marketing databases.


Our processing of your personal data for marketing and sales purposes is not mandatory. In case you have a contract with us, we need to be able to process your personal information in order to provide the service and to communicate with you.

We process your data to provide, improve, and administer our business and Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for marketing and sales purposes.

Performance of a Contract

The processing of your personal data is based on our need to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services or taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

Providing our services you have requested. Managing your interactions when they form part of a contractual relationship.

Legitimate Interests

The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interests, which we consider reasonably necessary to pursue and which do not override your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms. When relying on legitimate interests, we have conducted a balancing test to ensure that our interests do not outweigh your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Analyzing how our services are used to improve engagement, performance, and user experience (processing is based on legitimate interest, while cookies used for analytics require your consent). Processing any feedback you have given. Conducting outbound B2B sales and marketing activities. Diagnosing technical problems and preventing fraudulent or malicious activities.

The processing of your personal data is based on our need to comply with legal obligations.

5. Third Party Services Providers and Transfer of data outside EEA


We use third-party service providers and may transfer your personal data to them as necessary to provide our Services.

We store personal data primarily on servers located within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) using services provided by Amazon Web Services.

In some cases, personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EEA, which may have different data protection standards. These transfers occur when we use third-party service providers or infrastructure located outside the EEA. MinnaLearn takes measures to ensure that the transfer of data complies with the applicable laws. Such transfers are conducted using appropriate data transfer mechanism such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or EU – US privacy framework, as set out in the data processing terms of each respective service.

6. Use of Cookies And Other Tracking Technologies


We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. 7. Data Retention


Personal data related to marketing and sales data will be retained for up to five (5) years after last activity of the data point. Otherwise, we will store your data as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice or required by law. We assess the accuracy and necessity of data collected in the context of our business on a regular basis. 


8. Your Rights


Within the limits of applicable legislation, you have a right to:


  • access to your personal data. You may request us to confirm whether we process your personal data, and a copy of your personal data possibly processed by us, by sending us such request at the email address mentioned below in this privacy notice;
  • rectification and/or erasure of the data. You may request us to correct your personal data that is erroneous or inaccurate, and further, you may request us to erase your personal data;
  • restrict the processing of your personal data. In certain situations, you may request us to restrict the processing of your personal data by sending us such request at the email address mentioned below;
  • data portability. You may request us to provide you with your data in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format so that you can transmit your data to another controller by sending us such request at the email address mentioned below. This right concerns personal data in an electronic format, the processing of which is based on either consent given by you or performance of a contract;
  • withdraw your consent. Where the processing is based on a consent given by you, you may withdraw such consent at any time. You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us at hello@minnalearn.com; and
  • file a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you wish to file a complaint as to how we process your personal data, according to the GDPR, you have a right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority in the member state where you live or work or where an alleged breach of the GDPR has occurred. In Finland, the Data Protection Ombudsman acts as the respective supervisory authority (www.tietosuoja.fi).

We take information security and protection of personal data seriously. Personal data is protected from unauthorised access and processing as well as against unlawful and accidental destruction, loss and corruption by using industry standard information security technologies. In addition, we constantly improve practices in order to protect personal data.

We may modify this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes to how we process your personal data, we will provide you with prominent notice, such as by posting a clear notice on our website or by sending you an email notification. The "last updated" date at the top of this privacy policy indicates when it was last revised.

11. Automated decisions


We use automated data processing for determining online trial eligibility. This processing is based on the consent of the person applying for the trial use.
